First edition Cloth very good, a bit rubbed Lists all the monumental brasses surviving in England at that point - found some ancestors of my Mother! 15th century Nottinghamshire! Two volumes, Vol I with two hundred illustrations, Vol II with two hundred illustrations, letter from the author to G E Adams of the Heralds College pasted to fep of Vol II, four page holgraph letter written on small folded black edged note (mourning paper presumably), discussing a request for information from a Vicar in Ashbourne, also noted as ex-libris E H Stewart Wolde, given the book by Adams, 263pp, 286pp, 22pp catalogue at rear, 8vo. Vol I spine joints a little tender, split 1" at base of spine, otherwise a bright clean set with some neat pencil underlining and a few notes. Binding is Brown cloth decorated in blind with gilt titles and decoartive stamp to upper cover. Price:
